The background

The HAND Foundation is a family foundation in the San Francisco Bay Area, founded in 2003 by a prominent high-tech couple as part of their legacy: Noosheen Hashemi, angel investor and former VP at Oracle, and Zod Nazem, angel investor and early CTO at Yahoo!

The problem

After 10 years, the foundation had evolved its focus, but it hadn’t evolved its story. In addition, the website and newsletter platform they had been using (a combination of Yahoo! and Wordpress) had become cumbersome and unreliable, which made this storytelling moment an opportunity to upgrade their site.

How we helped

We delivered a brand narrative, modernized their brand look-and-feel (including typeface, color palette, logo, and photography), and delivered a fresh new website using responsive design.
