We work with inspired — and inspiring — leaders who are dedicated to making the world a better place. We help them bring to life their vision, their voice, and their ideas to activate, engage, and mobilize others — to invest, to join, to advocate for their cause, or to think differently.
We believe that the best stories are true stories that bring out the best in humanity — because these are the stories that awaken our senses, cause us to feel deeply, and make us think.
We believe that every story is an opportunity to change the world, and we treat every engagement that way. We know that when our clients present themselves and their ideas in a way that reflects their most authentic self, they inspire others to do the same.
That’s how we’re making the world a better place — one story, one client, one commitment at a time.
Our co-creation process begins with the problem you’re trying to solve and the difference you want to make.
Through deep inquiry and listening, we’ll determine the right mix of interactions that allow us to access the hidden content, unexpressed ideas, and breakthrough insights that will elevate, sharpen, or transform your vision, making it both memorable and actionable to your audience — your leadership team, your company, your industry, the world.
Getting people to care about what you have to say is part art, part science. It requires a story where the message and medium strike a perfect balance between thinking and feeling.
This is why formats like TED.com, podcasts like Serial and Hardcore History, and books like Freakonomics are so popular — they combine facts + information with storytelling to move people to think and feel differently.
Our storytelling methodology wraps interesting, sticky and emotional content around your important ideas and information — making your message powerfully resonant and memorable.
We’ve worked with a wide variety of clients, agencies, and partners, which has taught us a lot about what we need emotionally and intellectually to do great work. We’ve learned that the only way to consistently deliver great work that gives our clients great value is to create the conditions for our mutual success — and it begins by ensuring that our clients understand and appreciate who we are and what we value.
To do great work for our clients, we must deeply understand and believe in who they are as people, and what they are trying to do in the world. We work best with those who value truth and candor, levity and kindness. Our relationships go deep, and for that reason, we choose our clients as much as they choose us.
Our best work is the product of more than just great strategy and great design. It is also the result of great client relationships and great team relationships. We make commitments to our clients that we can fully embrace and support internally as a team, and we manage our work to bring out the best in each contributor while balancing the needs of the whole. While good work can happen alone, we know that great work happens together.
For us to do great work as a team, we must first show up as great individuals. That means we make time in our lives for the things that nurture us physically, emotionally, and intellectually. When we feel complete as individuals, we leave no part out when we are together as a team. This allows us to bring our best ideas, our best thinking, and our best creativity to our work — for the benefit of each other and the benefit of our clients.
We love to listen. We’re also deeply curious and committed to your message and your vision of success. Inspired by a shared belief that smart + beautiful stories empower leaders and transform individuals and organizations, we’ve combined our expertise in strategy and design to help you communicate your idea in a way that transcends human differences, builds empathy and understanding, and mobilizes belief and commitment.

Tara has an extensive history designing brand narratives and websites for early stage companies and non-profits, and “TED-inspired” talks for Fortune 100 firms and academic institutions. She is a talented graphic designer and photographer who brings an intelligent, visually-arresting, and discerning aesthetic to her work.
Tara graduated from Penn State University with a BS, where she studied photography and graphic design. She loves boutique hotels, lazy rivers, and exquisite typography.
While everything we do takes the ultimate form of a narrative, the path we take to get there ranges in scope and intensity. We have three levels of engagement, ranging from TED-inspired industry presentations to multi-day, C-suite working sessions that align leaders around their purpose, vision, strategy, beliefs, and values.
You’re considered an expert in your field, and have been invited to share what you know and what you believe on the big stage. It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for — you have a lot of ideas and only a few precious moments to share them, and you want your ideas to stick.
The difference between a lackluster presentation and one that keeps your audience hanging on your every word is a combination of simplicity, provocation, and humanity — these are the dials we use to artfully hook your audience, bring them along a journey of discovery, and leave them transfixed and transformed.
From our first conversation to our last rehearsal, we will ask questions, listen deeply, challenge your ideas, and coach your delivery to give you the clarity and confidence you need to give a talk your audience will remember long after the lights go down.
You are the new leader of a company or function, and you want to inspire, engage, and align your team and other stakeholders around your ideas — a new purpose, vision, or strategy, a change in priorities, new ways of working.
The difference between a deck that superficially informs and a narrative that deeply engages is a combination of conceptual clarity and emotional resonance — dials we maneuver with radically-simplified logic and frameworks, smart and elegant information design, powerful imagery, meaningful graphics, and plain language.
From our first conversation to our final “hand-off,” we will work tirelessly alongside you and your core team to discover, develop, and design a narrative that brings to life what’s essential, aspirational, and true about who you uniquely are, where you want to go, and how you intend to get there.
You’re at the helm of your organization and you see the need to do more, do different, or go faster. You have a sense of clarity, ambition, and urgency about changing the world and your organization’s place in it, but the core team of collaborators you need on your side aren’t quite there.
The difference between your team’s lukewarm buy-in and their steadfast commitment is a function of shared understanding, ideation, and co-creation — the focus of bespoke interactive worksessions we design and facilitate to help you and your team imagine, articulate, and realize a new future together.
From our first conversation to our final presentation and follow-up, we’ll partner intensively with you to create a workshop agenda and environment that promotes individual learning, enables courage and candor, challenges the status quo, builds trust, and reinforces personal commitments.
Our clients come from a wide range of disciplines, industries, and growth stages. They include the C-suite, VCs, thought leaders, philanthropists, and educators.
